These days, if you are a home business Pay Per Click advertiser, you are probably ready to tell Google to “Forget You”. I can’t blame you with that. Recently the web giant has begun a crack down on “Get Rich Quick” ads, whether they are that or not. What is a PPC advertiser to do to continue generating a steady flow of MLM leads?

In steps my favorite MLM lead generation paid strategy, banner ads! You might be thinking, those things are old school and they don’t work. On the contrary my friend, I am generating between 5-10 lazer targeted leads per day. I am going to let you in on the secrets that I use to generate these leads with banner ads.

Keyword research is key to any kind of advertising, but much more important here to get the right leads. The way we will use keywords that we are going after is to search for them online and see what kind of sites we get returned. Once we have identified some sites that match our market, we will proceed to find out how to advertise on them. If they don’t have a place to advertise on their site, they are probably hooked in with a media buying company such as, BuySellAds, BlogAds, etc.

Once you have done your keyword research, you need to look at the demographics for the sites you pulled up to search for ad spots. Use the demographics from those sites as a target for your ads. You don’t want to be advertising your home biz opp on a site that sells Barbies. My favorite demo checkers are Alexa and Quantcast. They shouldn’t be taken as the gospel, but can get you really close constraints with them.

We know our target market and what they are searching, why don’t we get our banners. If you are representing an MLM or affiliate, they will probably already have stock banners. If they don’t you can make some yourself in Photoshop or have an outsourcer handle them for you. You can get some really good banners for a couple of hundred dollars or less. Usually, I will make my own or get them made because I know that everyone else that has access to the stock banners will be using them. I like to stand out from the crowd for some reason.

Now comes the great part for those PPC guys out there. When placing banner ads, you can choose to either pay per click (familiar, huh) or by cost per mille (CPM). The even better news is that a lot of PPC guys are used to paying 2-3 bucks per click where, with banners, you can often get clicks for less than $1. The double better news is that the CPM method gets even cheaper. With CPM, you are paying per thousand impressions on the website you are advertising. It isn’t uncommon to get CPMs for under 75 cents and you will often find that you get a couple clicks CPM, which makes your CPC (cost per click) around 38 cents.

Last, you need to decide if want to send you leads to directly to your offer or to a landing page. If your offer is over $50 you will be better to send all traffic to a carefully scripted landing page to increase conversions. If you choose not to send them to a landing page, your conversion will likely suffer. Take my site for example http:Earn250kAYear.com/

I realize that banner ads may not be the buzz and as sexy as PPC, but they provide as good of leads for less money. Whether you choose to use banners or not, just be aware that they are available as an alternative if something were to happen with your Oogle PPC. Just be sure you keep your MLM leads coming and your business growing.
